For a second year, CNBC is thrilled to be hosting a free educational workshop focused on business journalism at the Excellence in Journalism 2017 Conference. This invitation-only workshop is geared toward graduating seniors and recent graduates who are planning to attend one of the 2017 Conventions. Interested candidates must apply to be invited to attend the workshop.

By applying to attend this workshop, applicants are also applying for a position as a CNBC Business News Associate. After the workshop, some participants who have a bachelor’s degree may be selected for an opportunity to interview at CNBC Global Headquarters for a job as a CNBC Business News Associate.

The Business News Associate Workshop will feature:
·         A panel of seasoned CNBC professionals describing their roles at the network and sharing how CNBC’s guiding principles and best practices influence their work as business journalists
·         An interactive breaking news simulation designed to teach the concepts, skills, and techniques CNBC professionals utilize daily to break down complex information about business, markets, and the economy
·         Individual interviews with CNBC professionals

To request an application to this free workshop, interested applicants should send their resumes and contact info to biznewsassociate@cnbc.com by June 15, 2017. We will review submitted resumes and send applications to eligible candidates. Due to the high volume of resumes we receive, we regret that we will only be able to send applications to attend the workshop to those in whom we have interest. Completed applications must be submitted to CNBC via email no later than 11:59 PM PT June 30, 2017.
