The Annual George Polk Seminar Focuses on Cartoonists

The Deadline Club is proud to be one of the participating organizations of the Annual George Polk Seminar. This year, the topic will be “Dangerous Lines: Cartoonists and Other Subversives.” Panelists include Garry Trudeau, the new George Polk Career achievement winner, Jules Feiffer, prize-winning cartoonist, author and playwright, and Django Gold, senior writer for The Onion. The Journalism Department of the Long Island University will co-host the panel with the Center for Communication in Brooklyn. Other participating organizations including the Foreign Press Association, the Overseas Press Club of America and SAJA. Advance reservations are required for this free event.
