Discover the history of New York City journalism you never knew with the Deadline Club’s upcoming first-ever walking tour, followed by an outdoor happy hour at storied downtown pubs in lower Manhattan. We’ll walk the once blood-soaked, ink-stained sites of Gotham’s journalistic past on Juneteenth, travelling in the footsteps of Frederick Douglass, Nelly Bly and Alexander Hamilton, among many others. Led by licensed guide Chris Barron, the tour will be held Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 3 p.m., then we’ll amble over to an outdoor glass-lifting happy hour. Tickets are $15 for Deadline Club members and $25 for non-members. Space is limited and tour reservations are required. Please RSVP here.
