2026 Awards Dinner

The Deadline Club Awards recognize the best journalism produced by journalists and media organizations based in the greater New York area. Winners compete for a coveted “Rube” statuette, designed by legendary cartoonist Rube Goldberg. The statuette, designed in 1968, was Rube’s idea of a dead line—shown in three dimensions.

Those winners will be recognized on Thursday, May 14 at the historic and exclusive Harvard Club of New York City, 35 West 44th St. (Business/cocktail attire.)

The evening will be highlighted by our guest speakers: Norman Pearlstine, former editor-in-chief of Time Inc. and longtime media executive, and Zach Seward, editorial director of A.I. initiatives at The New York Times.

Reception begins at 6:30 p.m., with dinner beginning promptly at 7:30 p.m.
