The 2017 Deadline Awards Contest is Open for Entries! Submit by Friday, Feb. 17
The Deadline Club is currently accepting entries for our 2016 Deadline Awards, with the entry period remaining open through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17. Click here to enter our electronic contest entry system, where you’ll find descriptions for each of our 31 categories and the rules of entry. All submissions must be uploaded through this electronic system. The Deadline Club’s journalism competition, one of the most prestigious in New York, drew more than 600 entries last year. The 2017 contest covers work that was published or broadcast in 2016 by news organizations from the New York metropolitan area.
Finalists will be announced in April, and winners will be announced at our annual awards dinner at the Harvard Club of New York City on Monday, May 22. Winners will be presented with “Rubes,” our unique award statuettes designed exclusively for The Deadline Club by Rube Goldberg, the “dean of American cartoonists.” As always, our awards dinner will feature a prominent figure in New York journalism as guest speaker. Watch our website or further editions of the Deadliner Express mailing to find out who it will be. Thank you and good luck to all — we look forward to your entries!
