From Resignations to Reinvention — Substack: Journalism’s New Frontier (Virtual Discussion)

As Washington Post opinion editors resign over Jeff Bezos’s tightening control, top journalists like Jim Acosta (CNN), Richard Galant (CNN Opinion), Jen Rubin (Washington Post) and Andy Borowitz (The New Yorker) are turning to Substack.

Is this the future of independent journalism? Can writers really make money, or is the real benefit in influence – and what’s the balance? On April 15, David A. Andelman, Richard Galant and Claire Atkinson dove deep into these questions and many more in this special conversation presented by the Deadline Club, “From Resignations to Reinvention — Substack: Journalism’s New Frontier.”

Watch the virtual event below in its entirety, featuring a robust discussion followed by an Andelman-led how-to session on creating a Subtack yourself.
